Koller Foundation donates to KUNO

The newly established Koller Foundation based in Regensburg donates 5,000 euros to KUNO.

REGENSBURG – Not only commercial enterprises are affected by the current Corona crisis, but also non-profit organizations. Aid and funding projects are delayed and smaller aid organizations in particular are experiencing declining donation income according to current statistics. Against this background, the entrepreneur Michael Koller established the Koller Foundation in November 2020 as part of his 70th birthday celebrations. Its aim is to support projects in the areas of people and health, education, culture and nature. The special focus is on regional projects in the Upper Palatinate.

On 12 February 2021, Mr Michael Koller presented a donation check of 5,000 euros to the KUNO Foundation in Regensburg, which supports the University Children’s Hospital for Eastern Bavaria. KUNO continues to support research on rare childhood diseases and finances medical staff. A permanent project of KUNO is the care of seriously ill children, which goes beyond basic medical care. “Children suffer particularly from the current restrictions on contact and we are pleased to be able to bring them a bit of normality in everyday hospital life, also thanks to the Koller Foundation’s donation,” says KUNO board member Prof. Dr. Hugo Segerer.
